Five Dead in Small Plane Crash at California's Long Beach Airport

Five people were killed today when a small twin-engine plane crashed and burst into flames at California's Long Beach Airport, officials said.

Steve Yamamoto of the Long Beach Fire Department confirmed to AOL News that five of the six passengers died in the crash. The sole survivor was taken to a hospital.

The Beechcraft King Air crashed just after takeoff from Long Beach Airport at about 10:30 a.m. PDT. Moments later, the plane was engulfed in flames, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor told News crue
